About the company: A reputable Car rental company 

Location: Isando, Johannesburg 

Salary: R60 000 Basic plus benefits and company car 

Job Purpose: The overall purpose of the role will be to provide legal advice and support to the organization. This role involves ensuring compliance with laws and regulations, handling legal disputes, drafting and reviewing legal documents, and contributing to strategic decision-making processes. The ideal candidate will have strong legal knowledge, excellent management skills, and the ability to work collaboratively across departments.

Requirements: 

  • Completed Matric 
  • Drivers License 
  • Bachelor’s degree in law (LLB or equivalent)
  • Admission to the bar in the relevant jurisdictions

Experience Required: 
  • 5 years’ experience in a legal environment
  • 3 years’ Car Rental experience

Key Deliveries and Outputs:

Legal Advice and Support:

  • Provide legal advice to senior management and other departments.
  • Interpret and apply laws, regulations, and court decisions.
  • Represent the company in legal proceedings, negotiations, and dispute resolutions.

Document Management

 

·         Draft, review, and negotiate contracts, agreements, and other legal documents.

·         Ensure all legal documents are accurate, compliant, and reflective of the company's interests.

 

Compliance

 

·         Monitor and ensure compliance with all relevant laws and regulations.

·         Develop and implement policies and procedures to minimize legal risks

Strategic Planning

·         Collaborate with senior management to develop and execute the company's strategic goals.

·         Provide legal insights and recommendations to support business decisions.

Risk Management

·         Identify potential legal risks and develop mitigation strategies.

·         Conduct legal research and stay updated on changes in laws and regulations that may affect the company.
