Manager – Business Unit (National)
Location: Kempton Park, Johannesburg
Salary: R50 000 pm CTC plus Petrol card and cell phone
Note: Travel will be necessary to our various branches – JHB, CPT, DUR, PE, GRJ and ELS

Main Purpose of the Job:
To develop, manage, and oversee the company nationally, ensuring operations align with company policies, procedures, budgets, and strategic objectives. The focus is on maintaining a cost-effective and sustainable business unit while managing partnerships and improving operational efficiency.

Minimum Requirements
Qualifications:
Bachelor’s Degree in Supply Chain or Logistic Management (NQF Level 7)
Experience:
5 Years’ experience in the Airline and Freight industry
3 Years’ Key Account Management experience
Functional Training:
Winfreight Operations and Finance
ISQMS (Integrated Quality Management System)
Compliance Management
Operations Management
Business Risk Management
Strategic Business Management
Live Animal Regulations
Environmental / Other Conditions:
Valid Driver’s Licence
Own reliable transport
Willingness to travel
Ability and willingness to work extended hours at own initiative and/or request

Primary Responsibilities & Duties
Contract and Rate Negotiations:
Draft Service Level Agreements (SLAs)
Ensure compliance with customer contracts
Monitor contract expiry dates and manage renewals
Negotiate annual rate increases
Business Development:
Understand market and customer needs
Grow the existing customer base
Offer value-added services
Implement ancillary services
Revenue Growth & Yield Management:
Develop pricing strategies for optimal yield
Identify and implement new service offerings
Set and achieve revenue targets
Customer Retention & Acquisition:
Maintain professional relationships with clients
Resolve customer complaints efficiently
Market Opportunities & Threats:
Identify new business opportunities and threats
Conduct competitor and market analyses
Develop strategies to mitigate risks
Financial Management:
Plan and coordinate the annual budget
Manage operational expenses to meet financial targets
Identify cost-saving opportunities
Audits & Regulatory Compliance:
Ensure adherence to aviation and industry regulations
Conduct audits and implement corrective actions
Stakeholder Engagement:
Collaborate with stakeholders for operational alignment
Monitor Service Level Agreements (SLAs)
Conduct customer satisfaction surveys
Technology Development:
Improve system efficiencies and customer service
Introduce new technologies to enhance services
National Management & Reporting:
Compile regular reports on customer satisfaction, growth, and profitability
Operational Planning:
Ensure effective communication and coordination with operations
Monitor and improve existing policies and procedures
People Management:
Ensure compliance with labor laws and company policies
Assess and manage staffing needs
Mentor and coach employees for professional growth
