Compliance Officer: Quality

Location: Kempton Park, Johannesburg
Company: Feight, Air Cargo 
Salary: CTC package: R30 000 to R35 000. (Includes Provident Fund and Medical Insurance)

Minimum Requirements

Minimum Qualifications

  • Diploma or Degree in Auditing, Risk Management, or Safety Management Systems (NQF Level 6 or equivalent)

  • Driver’s License

Minimum Experience

  • 3 years’ operational experience in aviation or logistics

  • 2 years’ experience with Quality Management Systems (preferably ISO 9001)

  • In-depth knowledge of Civil Aviation Regulations and Technical Standards

  • Experience with internal audits and document control

Primary Responsibilities & Duties

Main Purpose of the Job

To support the implementation and maintenance of the company and Interloc Freight Services’ Quality Management System, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements and company standards. The Quality Officer assists in driving a culture of quality and continuous improvement across the organisation.


Audit Management

  • Plan and conduct scheduled internal audits using approved checklists.

  • Document audit findings and communicate deficiencies to relevant stakeholders.

  • Track corrective actions and verify closure of non-conformances.

  • Prepare audit reports for management review.

  • Participate in external audits and facilitate compliance with audit requirements.

Document Management and Control

  • Maintain and update quality-related documents, policies, and procedures.

  • Ensure controlled access to the central document library and prevent unauthorized use.

  • Review and archive obsolete documentation in line with company policy.

  • Support staff in locating and applying the correct procedures for their roles.

  • Protect company intellectual property and sensitive information from cyber threats.

Management Reporting

  • Compile monthly quality statistics and compliance reports for management.

  • Analyse data to identify trends, risks, and opportunities for improvement.

  • Present findings and recommendations to the Manager: Quality and Security.

  • Ensure timely and accurate reporting of quality incidents and corrective actions.

  • Maintain records of all compliance activities for audit and regulatory purposes.

Stakeholder Management

  • Liaise with internal teams and external service providers to ensure quality standards are met.

  • Communicate changes in quality procedures and policies to all relevant staff.

  • Encourage staff to report hazards, non-compliance, and suggest improvements.
